Sewer Board

Duties:

The Village Board created the Sewer Board of Commissioners on March 11, 1991, to protect assets, supplies, and facilities of the Pulaski Sewerage System and to oversee the system's strategic direction, budget, and operations. Specific duties are as follows:

 

  • Recommend an annual budget to the Village Board for operation and maintenance,

  • Audit and order paid all claims incurred,

  • Administer the budget as approved by the Village Board,

  • Recommend appropriate sewer rates necessary for operations, maintenance, and debt service,

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the sewerage collection system, stormwater collection system, sewer plant and pumping stations,

  • Plan for adequate storm water drainage,

  • Assure proper training of all Sewer Plant Operators and review and accept monthly operator reports,

  • Plan, authorize, and coordinate maintenance on the sewerage system with the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works,

  • Address concerns of local residents that may arise relative to the sewer system service.
