Water Board

Duties:

The Water Board of Commissioners was created to protect assets, supplies, and facilities of the Pulaski Water System and to oversee the drinking water infrastructure, including the wells, water reservoir, and delivery system.  Specific duties are as follows:

 

  • Recommend an annual budget to the Village Board for operation and maintenance,

  • Audit and order paid all claims incurred,

  • Administer the budget as approved by the Village Board,

  • Recommend appropriate water rates necessary for operations, maintenance, and debt service,

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the water collection system and pumping station,

  • Assure proper training of Water Plant Operators and review and accept monthly operator reports,

  • Plan, authorize, and coordinate maintenance of the water system with the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works,

  • Address concerns of local residents that may arise relative to the water system service.
