LOCAL EVENTS:
On Saturday, November 1, 2025, there was a dedication of Pomeroy Sign for Revolutionary War Veterans. This wonderful even was brought to our communities by the generosity of William J. Pomeroy, and the William G Pomeroy Foundation, for whom we are indebted. The Patriot burial marker program is managed in cooperation with the Sons of the American Revolution, currently ESSSAR President, Tim Middlebrook reviews all Patriot Marker Applications, collaborating with local historians and other applicants. In Oswego County, Our Historian Debra Allen, has been in the forefront of this work, and submitted the two successful applications that brought our communities these markers we dedicate today. All biographies have been researched and compiled by Debra Allen, and Shawn Doyle and others, are DRAFTS of the final book that will honor our revolutionary war patriots who lived in, died in or are buried in Oswego County, New York.
